Organizational Development

Every business is a series of systems for delivering a product or service to customers. The behavior of the people within the organization is a reflection of the formal and informal systems. RLC can coach your organization in identifying those systems and improving them to achieve the results you want…

An organization may have a formal system in place that everyone is taught to follow. For example, when a customer enters a store, employees are expected to greet the customers and ask if they have any questions. Every employee is expected to follow that process with every customer. Some systems are informal. For example, whenever an employee calls in sick, the manager automatically calls the most reliable employee to ask if he or she can cover the sick person’s shift. In a way, the reliable employee is punished for being so reliable. The less reliable employees aren’t called in to cover a shift because they aren’t as good as the reliable employee. The reliable employee is punished for being good, and the unreliable employee is rewarded for poor performance. These informal systems within businesses often have a greater impact than the formal systems.

Let Randall Large Consulting show you how your formal and informal systems are affecting your business, and help you develop strategies to change those systems and processes to get the results you want.
